Swiss Television Award 2010: Walter Roderer honored for his life's work

The "Swiss Television Award 2010" was presented for the second time on Friday in Zurich's Maag Event Hall by the two Swiss program guides Tele and TV-Star. Walter Roderer was honored with the Lifetime Award, and the prize in the Star category went to SF presenter Nik Hartmann.

Winner Category Lifetime Award: Walter Roderer
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Lifetime Award, according to a statement. The jury awarded the Swiss theater, film actor and cabaret artist Walder Roderer with the well-deserved prize for his life's work. Laudator Erich Vock presented the award to his revered role model to a standing ovation from the celebrities from show business and the economy in attendance.
Winner category Star: Nik Hartmann
The prize in the Star category went to SF presenter Nik Hartmann. Alongside Susanne Kunz and Reto Brennwald, who were also nominated, he "didn't think he had much of a chance," as he revealed in the run-up. Beni Thurnheer, himself a former winner in this category, presented the silver statue to his young colleague. In recent years, Nik Hartmann has impressively demonstrated what it means to present competently, sensitively, freshly, freely and sometimes even cheekily, according to the jury. At the same time, Nik has always remained himself. He could actually host any show and was probably the most suitable candidate for a big Saturday or Sunday evening show.
Winner category broadcast: "Eco
The readers of Tele, TV-Star, the two online platforms Tele.ch and TVStar.ch, and the viewers of Sat.1 Switzerland voted the business show "Eco" from Swiss TV as the best TV show. Also nominated in this cateogy were the live program "La Bohème im Hochhaus" from SF and "Bumann, der Restauranttester" from 3+. Actor and satirist Mike Müller, who received the Swiss Television Award in 2008 for "Giacobbo/Müller Late Service Public" in the same category, was the laudator.
Winner Category Film: "The Registrar".
Micha Lewinsky's comedy about a registrar who is supposed to marry off her school sweetheart and does everything in her power to prevent it, came out on top in the Film category. Director and screenwriter Lewinsky was unable to accept the trophy himself because he had traveled to Los Angeles with his family a few days earlier. However, he thanked his crew and the jury for the honor in a video message. The award was accepted on behalf of leading actor Dominque Jann and producer Anne-Catherine Lang-Majer from the hands of actress Sabina Schneebeli.
Regional category: "Lifestyle", Tele Züri
The jury examined three very different formats that run on Swiss regional stations: "Wildeisen's Cooking," "Automobile Review" and "Lifestyle. The "Lifestyle" magazine, hosted by Patty Boser, finally won out with the jury. Claudio Zuccholini made not only the Tele Züri crew laugh with his comedy interlude during the laudation.
The evening was presented by the SF presenter duo Sandra Studer and Rainer Maria Salzgeber.
