Radio In April 2004, the IHA-GfK research institute launches the Sounds.fm study in the German-speaking market. A representative panel is played weekly excerpts from current music titles via the Internet. The panel members rate whether they like the song and whether it should be played more or less often on the radio. Music editors and program makers can call up the current ratings of their target audience and compare them with the chart positions in important music markets. The panel currently comprises over 600 people from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
