Wirz Group reports turnaround

Agencies The Zurich-based advertising group Wirz again posted a decline in sales in the 2003 financial year, with gross operating income falling from CHF 27.3 million to CHF 25.4 million. However, while 2002 had resulted in a high loss, the company was able to almost break even in 2003. Wirz owes its "turnaround" to far-reaching downsizing: the number of employees was reduced by around a quarter to 147.
