TV Swiss television viewers should keep their fingers off the remote control. SF DRS is introducing a new program structure by 29 March 2005 in order to improve audience flow. "We want to strengthen customer loyalty through more homogeneous, coherent programming," says TV Director Ingrid Deltenre. To this end, the profile of the two DRS stations is being sharpened. Deltenre: "It should be clear to viewers what they can expect from which channel." Information and culture are at home on SF 1, where a broader audience is addressed. Children's programs and live sport will be concentrated on SF 2, which is aimed at a younger target group.
While the main evening program will remain largely unchanged, SF DRS will try to attract viewers with new in-house productions, particularly in the early evening. Among other things, a game show is planned. The "Tagesschau" early edition will be upgraded as a starter. Programs that previously disrupted the audience flow will be postponed "or canceled if necessary," says Deltenre.
