Press The weekly newspaper (WOZ) has dissolved its editorial board. It will be replaced by a two-person editorial board. The position will be shared equally between domestic editor Susan Boos and life editor Esther Banz, who were elected by the WOZ collective for a period of one year. The expansion of the editorial team during the relaunch in fall 2003 made more binding structures necessary, explains Co-Managing Editor Verena Mühlberger: "As we have done several times in the history of WOZ, we have adapted our model of self-administration to the new requirements."
The tasks of the editorial management: It coordinates journalistic priorities and guarantees medium and long-term planning as well as adherence to the editorial budget. It also makes decisions on new appointments. The WOZ emphasizes that the editorial team will continue to decide on the content of the newspaper and the cooperative members will decide on the budget.
