Newspapers Local journalism is exhausting: "We have noticed that the editorial workload is greater than expected," says Daniel Bach, editorial manager of the local edition of the Tages-Anzeiger for the Horgen district in Wädenswil.three months ago, the latest offshoot of the Tamedia flagship broke into the catchment area of the traditional Zürichsee-Zeitung and is fighting for additional readers there, especially those who were previously loyal to the ZSZ. The 12-strong editorial team has reached its limits in terms of workload. Two freelancers have therefore been integrated more closely into the editorial team with the same personnel budget in order to help with the editing and production of the average of 15 editorial pages per day. Within three months, Tamedia will decide whether the two 60 percent positions should be added to the editorial team.
