Mittelland newspaper for ever

Newspaper It’s been an open secret for quite some time that the Solothurner Zeitung, part of the Vogt-Schild Publishing Group, would rather renew its contract with the Mittelland Zeitung than join the Espace Media Group

Newspaper The sparrows have long been whistling from the rooftops that the Solothurner Zeitung of the Vogt-Schild publishing group would rather renew its contract with the Mittelland Zeitung than join the Espace Mediengruppe (Bund, Berner Zeitung). It is now clear that Peter Wanner, publisher of the Aargauer Zeitung, can only secure the continued existence of his Mittelland newspaper model in the long term by acquiring a stake in the Solothurner Zeitung from PubliGroupe in two stages, taking over its 35 percent stake in Vogt-Schild AG and in return transferring the advertising management for the AZ Media Group's newspaper division to the latter. This time, the four media companies AZ-Medien Group (Aargauer Zeitung), Vogt-Schild Group (Solothurner Zeitung) Dietschi AG (Oltener Tagblatt) and Zofinger Tagblatt AG (Zofinger Tagblatt) are confirming their cooperation in the Mittelland newspaper model for an indefinite period. They can thus operate with a total circulation of 190000 copies and 380000 readers.
