TVAt the end of June, the general meeting of Geneva's local television station Léman Bleu approved the entry of French publisher Philippe Hersant. Hersant's competitor, the Lausanne publishing house Edipresse, had previously withdrawn its offer, as reported by Le Temps. Hersant and his partner Stéphane Barbier-Mueller are injecting fresh capital of CHF 1.2 million in two tranches, bringing the total capital to CHF 3 million. According to the Tribune de Genève, the exact distribution of shares among the new shareholders has not yet been determined, but the city is to retain a majority. The advertising management will remain with the broadcaster as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
