Call-in shows allowed again for the time being

Sat 1 Switzerland and Viva Switzerland have been allowed to broadcast their controversial telephone lottery programs again for the time being.TV The Federal Office of Communications (Bakom) had ordered their immediate discontinuation as they were in breach of the Lottery Act. The two broadcasters appealed the decision to the Appeals Commission. This has now granted the appeal suspensive effect. The broadcasts may therefore be shown again until a final decision is made on the matter. However, Bakom intends to appeal the suspensive effect to the Federal Supreme Court.
