Innovation, Swiss-made

Switzerland Innovation is a success story. Just in time for the organization’s 10th anniversary, it was time for a refresh. The agency TBS was commissioned to redesign and redevelop the Switzerland Innovation website.

Switzerland Innovation is a network of innovation parks throughout Switzerland that enables international and domestic companies to collaborate with Switzerland’s world-leading universities on the development of new products and services. The website serves as a central hub for the network, bringing together stakeholders from research and industry, as well as startups and investors, to form innovation partnerships.

More Clarity on the Website

The overarching goal of the new website was to make Switzerland Innovation’s positioning more visible and to more clearly highlight its offerings and networking opportunities. According to its own statements, Switzerland is regarded worldwide as one of the best places for innovation, research, and development—thanks to its unique concentration of leading universities and research institutions, as well as the numerous talented individuals working on innovation projects at international high-tech companies. At the intersection of research and industry, Switzerland offers a particularly valuable asset for ambitious, technology-oriented companies through its network of Switzerland Innovation Parks.

The Networking Platform for Innovators

The website plays a central role in this effort: as both a content hub and a networking platform. It is designed to enhance the visibility of the entire Switzerland Innovation network and promote the «Innovation, Swiss made» brand internationally. To this end, it offers a structured overview of subject areas, locations, and infrastructure, supplemented by success stories and the latest news designed to highlight the network’s impact. At the same time, through well-organized content and clear contact options, it aims to make it easier to get started with the network and simplify access for international partners, companies, and research institutions.

A vast array of topics and target audiences

The site features research topics across seven broad categories, as well as 64 innovative technologies at 16 locations—totaling more than 68 research partners and more than 725 participating companies and organizations. On the innovation platform, SMEs and large corporations come together with research institutions and universities, startups and spin-offs, investors, and international partners. This immense diversity calls for clear structures.

The New Website as a Treasure Map

Switzerland Innovation’s new ecosystem platform encourages exploration. The website now provides access to the full range of offerings at the 16 park locations—more easily than ever before. As a result, the website has evolved from a simple “business card” into an interactive portal where users can find specific offerings. The map serves as the central entry point to locations and thematic worlds. The new filter function on the homepage allows users to quickly navigate to topic areas, services, infrastructure, or locations—an effective tool for targeted research. In addition, the content has been completely revamped, the presentation of partner and location pages has been fundamentally overhauled, and success stories and a news section have been added.

A Redesign and Refresh in One

The website stands out with a clear, professional brand identity that conveys a spirit of innovation. The updated design of the Switzerland Innovation website has a modern, well-structured look and is visually striking. Large images, a minimalist color scheme, and plenty of white space create a professional, calm look designed to effectively convey the idea of «Innovation, Swiss made.» According to the agency, the redesign primarily provides greater focus and clarity. The website plays a key role in showcasing Switzerland’s innovation parks under one umbrella, both nationally and internationally. For partners, the website thus becomes the first point of contact.
