Ueli Kneubühler's Report: Change at the Top of the Business Desk

Ueli Kneubühler will become the new deputy editor-in-chief of *Bilanz* effective November 1. He succeeds Erik Nolmans, who is retiring at the end of the year, and will also take over responsibility for the special issue on Switzerland’s 300 Richest People. «We are very pleased to have secured Ueli Kneubühler, an experienced and versatile business journalist, for this important role,» emphasizes Bilanz Editor-in-Chief Dirk Schütz.

Milestones in a Journalistic Career

Ueli Kneubühler (46) studied business administration at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Applied History from the University of Zurich. He began his journalistic career twenty years ago as a finance editor at *Cash daily* and subsequently headed, among other roles, the business section of the *Luzerner Zeitung*. Starting in 2011, he worked for approximately four years each as a business editor for Bilanz and for the NZZ am Sonntag.

After a six-year stint in corporate communications at AXA and Generali—including several years in a leadership role as Head of Communications & Public Affairs—he returned to journalism and *Bilanz* in May 2025.

New Role at *Bilanz*

With this change, Kneubühler will not only assume the role of deputy editor-in-chief starting in November, but will also take on editorial responsibility for the annual issue on the 300 richest Swiss—a task that had previously been handled by Erik Nolmans.
