The Institute for Swiss Economic Policy (IWP) at the University of Lucerne has completely revamped its digital presence. At the heart of the revamp is the new IWP Content Hub, which brings together research, economic policy facts, publications, events, and interactive data applications on a single digital platform. The solution was designed and implemented by the Zurich-based agency relyz.

The IWP examines key issues in Swiss economic policy and contributes to the public debate through scientifically sound analyses. In addition to research and publications, the institute provides facts, data, and digital tools—including the Parlameter, the IWP Swiss Taxometer, and the Swiss Inequality Database (SID).

The IWP Content Hub organizes knowledge by topic

The new IWP Content Hub is designed to link these diverse content areas more closely and organize them by topic. A structured content model links economic policy facts to their sources, as well as research topics to relevant publications, projects, and events. The goal is to create a central gateway to the IWP’s knowledge resources, enabling both the general public and media professionals, researchers, and other experts to navigate the content effectively.

Integrated Platform for Content and Communication

In addition to revising the information architecture and user experience, technical consolidation was a key component of the project. The newly implemented, centralized content management system serves as the common editorial foundation for the IWP’s website, newsletter, and iOS and Android apps. This allows content to be managed centrally and delivered across various digital touchpoints. Through integration with the CRM system, content and contact management are brought together in a unified system landscape.

Dr. Thomas M. Studer, Production Manager at the IWP, says of the project: «Our goal is to make economic policy research and facts understandable and easily accessible to a variety of target audiences. The new website makes an important contribution to this. In our collaboration with relyz, we particularly appreciated their deep understanding of our content requirements as well as their consistent integration of user experience, content, and technology.»
