Edi.26 Call for Entries: Submit Your Films Now
The Edi.26 Call for Entries is now open. New this year are a category for AI-generated films, lower submission fees, and an early-bird discount available through the end of July.

The Edi.26 Call for Entries is now open: Production companies can now submit their commissioned films for this year’s Swiss Film Award. The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2026. Those who submit early will benefit from an early-bird discount through July 31.
"Swissness" as a Basic Requirement for Edi.26
The Swissfilm Association and Edi. support authentic Swiss film productions. The key requirement is that at least 50 percent of the value added from the film production costs of the submitted works must have been generated in Switzerland. In case of doubt, the Swissfilm Association may have an independent auditing firm verify compliance with the submission guidelines. If any discrepancies are found, the submitting production company is responsible for the audit costs of up to CHF 2,500 plus VAT. All details are set forth in the Edi.26 regulations.
New Category for AI-Generated Films
A key change concerns commissioned films whose primary visual elements were created entirely or partially using generative AI: These may now be submitted in the «AI-Generated Films» category. In this way, Edi.26 acknowledges the growing importance of AI in film production.
In addition, the submission fees have been reduced. The new fee for submitting a film is CHF 250 for early bird submissions (through July 31) or CHF 350 for standard submissions (through August 31). For more details, please refer to the official price list.
