Amnesty International Website Relaunch: Bringing Content to Life

Amnesty International Switzerland has completely redesigned its website. With the relaunch of amnesty.ch—carried out in collaboration with the Swiss digital agencies mutoco and webcloud7—the aim is to allow users to experience the quality of the content in a new way. The revamped website focuses on people and their stories, with the goal of making it easy for anyone to get involved in the fight for human rights.

Three Goals: Research, Engagement, and Impact

According to the organization, the new website has three clear goals: to contribute to research, to promote engagement, and to highlight its impact. Users are invited to learn more, take action, and become part of a global movement. Restructured content, a simplified user interface, and a design that offers «visual breaks» amid the often heavy subject matter form the foundation for this. An optimized search function also makes it easier to access topics and resources across the entire website.

«Our content has always been strong. Now it has taken on a form that makes its quality tangible in a new way,» says Thierry Corbat, web manager at Amnesty International Switzerland.

Modernized technological infrastructure

In addition to the content and design overhaul, the technological infrastructure was also modernized. According to the press release, this enables the editorial team to create and publish content more flexibly and efficiently. As the technology partner, webcloud7 is responsible for the content management system, which is specifically designed for complex websites. The digital agency mutoco contributed design, technology, and brand strategy to the project.
