50 Years of ADC: 20 Minuten Seeks the Most Popular Swiss Ad
To mark its anniversary, ADC Switzerland is letting the public decide: In partnership with «20 Minuten,» it is holding a vote to select the most popular advertisement from five decades—with a specially designed special prize as the grand finale.

50 Years of ADC: The Audience Votes
For half a century, ADC Switzerland has been judging the best advertising in Switzerland. During that time, a total of 144 Gold Cubes have been awarded. To mark the 50th anniversary of ADC, the club now wants to know which of these gold awards shines the brightest—it’s looking for the Swiss people’s favorite advertisement.
To find out, the ADC, in collaboration with «20 Minuten,» the country’s largest news portal, launched a poll. The entire «20 Minuten» community is invited to vote for their favorite ad. The campaigns up for selection were grouped by decade, leaving two entries per decade.

A Comparison of Decades – With Expert Commentary
The candidates were grouped by decade; Martin Spillmann, as an expert, provided a personal commentary on each entry. This gives voters a guide that sheds light on the historical and creative context of each nominated campaign.

In the final round, all readers are once again asked to choose their ultimate favorite: The final round began on Wednesday, June 4, featuring the top ten picks from each decade. Several thousand votes were cast each day—a sign of the public’s enthusiastic participation.

Special Award and Award Ceremony on June 12, 2026
The «20 Minuten 50 Years of ADC Special Prize» was designed by René Fehr, the creator of the ADC Cube. It will be presented during the ADC Awards Ceremony on June 12, 2026, at the Kraftwerk in Zurich. The identity of the client who will receive the award will remain a secret until then.

The Audience Award is part of the ADC’s activities surrounding the creative festival, which takes place this year from June 8 to 13. ADC President Thomas Wildberger sees the response as a clear signal: «The high level of attention confirms that many people—for whom we ultimately create advertising—still take pleasure in excellent creative communication.»
