Kästli and mutoco: Experiencing the digital circular economy

The construction industry is one of the most resource-intensive sectors of all. Kästli is responding to this with a circular approach to the entire life cycle of construction - and is now also making this visible digitally: the digital agency mutoco has developed a new website that uses the circular concept as a central navigation and interaction element.

The construction industry is one of the most resource-intensive sectors of all. Kästli's answer to this is a circular approach to the entire life cycle of construction - from material extraction to recycling. The Swiss digital agency mutoco developed a web concept for this that not only shows the digital circular economy as a graphic, but also uses it as a central navigation and interaction element. Both the circular services and Kästli's corporate culture are to be brought to life.

The interactive circular module at the heart of the digital circular economy

At the heart of the platform is a specially developed interactive cycle module that serves as a central navigation hub. It visualizes the competencies as a coherent system and guides users intuitively through the offering. In addition, there is an in-page navigation that provides orientation within an offer: Users can see where they are in the cycle and can navigate directly between the skills.

The design follows a reduced, clear approach with plenty of white space so that the content speaks for itself. Clear, angular elements in a grid provide structure, while soft shapes and colors add warmth and naturalness. A customized filter system also allows users to segment the extensive project database according to specific areas of expertise.

Interactive elements make corporate culture visible

The corporate culture is to be brought to life via smart content elements: Hotspots on curated images provide an insight into everyday life, while an interactive timeline at project level provides a transparent insight into the progress of the project and its current status.

Special attention was paid to digital employer branding. A specially developed portrait module can be used to describe job profiles and apprenticeships in detail - an interface designed to appeal directly to skilled workers. Supplemented by optimized contact cards, interested parties can get in touch directly with the right person.

Circular thinking from construction to the digital space

With this new platform, Kästli aims to demonstrate that it is consistently pursuing a circular approach - from the physical construction site to the digital space. According to mutoco, the result is a digital product with added social value that combines design, technology and brand strategy. Jrene Rolli (Hallo Jrene) was responsible for the texts for the platform and focused on SEO, while Voll Toll from Bern took care of the photo and video production.
