Vicky Kummer heads communications for Toblerone global

Vicky Kummer has been the new Global Communications & Public Affairs Manager for Toblerone at Mondelēz International in Switzerland since April 2026. The 40-year-old Zurich native is now responsible for external communications and the public affairs agenda of the more than 100-year-old brand - with the aim of further expanding its global presence and strengthening relationships with local Swiss stakeholders.

Experience from Planted and Lindt & Sprüngli

Kummer brings a wide range of expertise from the FMCG and food industry, which she has gained both in global corporate structures and in dynamic Swiss start-ups, according to the press release. Most recently, she spent more than four years as Head of Corporate Communications at the Swiss start-up Planted, where she built up an interdisciplinary team with a strong focus on PR and government affairs. Prior to this, Kummer was responsible for global sustainability communications in the corporate communications team at Lindt & Sprüngli.

Iain Livingston, President Toblerone & World Travel Retail, says: «With her extensive communications and public affairs expertise, Vicky Kummer is the perfect addition to our Toblerone leadership team, managing the iconic brand's local and global agendas from Switzerland.»

Toblerone: 90 percent of production comes from Bern

This appointment follows the investment of CHF 65 million in the expansion of the production facility in Bern, which was announced in March last year. The grand opening took place in March 2026 with the participation of Federal Council President Guy Parmelin. According to the company, around 90 percent of all Toblerone chocolates consumed worldwide are currently produced in Bern - with a daily capacity of up to four million products. From there, Mondelēz International exports the brand to 120 countries, including via the world travel retail channel, which is one of the brand's most important pillars.

Vicky Kummer comments on her new role: «I am looking forward to shaping Toblerone's communications and public affairs and further strengthening our valuable relationships with partners and stakeholders in Switzerland and around the world. This is an extremely dynamic and exciting time for Toblerone. We are continuously developing the brand and innovatively expanding its position as a global triangular favorite in the premium segment.»
