NZZ expands content creation into a multimedia story lab
NZZone is expanding NZZ Content Creation into a multimedia paid-content hub. The new NZZ Story Lab delivers journalistic storytelling for the premium segment—ranging from print and digital formats to videos and events. The content is published exclusively in high-quality media outlets such as the NZZ, Le Temps, and Corriere del Ticino.

NZZone is expanding its offering for paid content in the premium segment: with NZZ Story Lab, the NZZ marketing organization is bundling its expertise in journalistic storytelling and developing the existing NZZ Content Creation range into a multimedia paid content hub. The new service provider covers all dimensions of content-driven advertising - from conception and cross-media production to publication in high-quality media environments.
From print to multimedia
NZZ Story Lab is the further development of NZZ Content Creation, which previously mainly produced journalistically prepared print and online content for companies in the premium segment. With the expansion to NZZ Story Lab, NZZone is expanding this offering to include multimedia formats and new distribution options.
The focus remains on storytelling in accordance with the journalistic quality standards of the NZZ. Content for companies is prepared journalistically with the aim of presenting relevant topics in a credible and understandable way. This content is now consistently conceived and implemented using multimedia. NZZ Story Lab no longer only produces paid content in text form for print and digital channels, but also as multimedia stories - for example as interactive online visualizations, journalistic-style videos, social media posts or live events.
Distribution in quality media
NZZ Story Lab's cross-media paid content is played out exclusively in the high-quality media environments of the NZZ and other quality brands such as "Le Temps" or "Corriere del Ticino" on a national level. This allows clients to reach the readership of the relevant media titles with their messages in a targeted manner and generate additional attention from an extended user group in their social networks.
Interdisciplinary team
The NZZ Story Lab service is implemented by an interdisciplinary team of journalists, creatives and specialists for digital formats. It is headed by Hannes Rothfuss (Commercial), Tina Baumberger (Creation) and Norman Bandi (Content) and combines journalistic competence with expertise in visual design, video, social media, UX/UI and event formats.
"Today, companies are not just looking for content, but convincing stories in credible journalistic environments," says Adrian Näf, Business Director of NZZone. "With NZZ Story Lab, we combine journalistic quality with multimedia storytelling and thus create new opportunities for effective communication in the premium segment. Our strengthened Story Lab crew brings together all the skills needed for this within our own ranks."
