Ringier Advertising expands its offering with Livesystems and AdUnit
Ringier Advertising is strategically expanding its portfolio: The integration of Livesystems adds more than 13,000 digital out-of-home screens, while the acquisition of AdUnit simplifies digital campaign booking. At the same time, the advertising agency is offering new formats such as dynamic ads and cross-media polls.

Ringier Advertising is focusing on expansion and simplification: the Swiss advertising marketer is expanding its portfolio to include Livesystems' digital out-of-home network with around 13,000 screens throughout Switzerland. The displays are located on public transport, at petrol stations or in post offices and reach people exactly where they are on the move. This opens up new opportunities for high-reach DOOH campaigns and cross-media extensions.
AdUnit as a central booking platform
Ringier Advertising is strengthening its regional and digital advertising marketing with the acquisition of AdUnit. The software solution makes it easier for agencies, publishers and SMEs in particular to access Swiss quality advertising environments and makes booking campaigns simpler and more efficient. The AdUnit booking tool acts as a one-stop store for advertisers and agencies - in self-booking or as a managed service.
"AdUnit makes digital advertising simpler, faster and more transparent," explains Andi Hess, Head of AdUnit. "In an increasingly complex advertising market, many advertisers are asking themselves: How do I reach the right audience efficiently and in a safe environment? This is exactly where AdUnit comes in." With the booking tool, Ringier bundles digital advertising opportunities in one place - from display and video to DOOH, social media and audio.
Dynamic ads and cross-media formats
Ringier Advertising uses the example of Arosa Tourism to show how Dynamic Ads work: The advertising media are automatically adapted to current data and contexts. The ad on Blick was only shown when the sun was shining in the mountains, while there was fog in the lowlands - including a live webcam image directly from the mountain. In this way, campaigns reach their target group at the right moment with a situationally appropriate message.
The collaboration with Helvesko is another example of innovative advertising formats: the cross-media shoe voting allowed readers of Schweizer LandLiebe and GlücksPost to choose their favorite from eight models. Around 800 people voted and the winning model will now be produced exclusively based on the vote.
Sports environment and product placement
Ringier Advertising's yallo World Cup Special places brands in a highly engaging live sports environment on desktop, mobile and CTV around the football and ice hockey World Cup. The offers include attention-grabbing pre-rolls with a high completion rate or exclusive branding weeks with guaranteed visibility.
The izzy projects film "The Celebrity Scammers" shows modern marketing through product placement: the Toyota Urban Cruiser makes its appearance via a content break. Cedi and Aurelio are in the middle of the action for their research - in the Urban Cruiser, of course. The content break can be seen from minute 4:02 to 4:38.
