The International Tourism Fair will take place in Berlin from March 3 to 5, 2026, with around 100,000 industry experts from more than 190 countries and regions expected to attend. Ars Electronica Solutions has been commissioned by Austrian National Tourist Office to stage two interactive installations as a central highlight at the trade fair stand. The installations are part of the international campaign "The Austrian Synapse" under the claim "Austria - won't get it out of your head".

AI and EEG technology make emotions visible

With an extraordinary interplay of art, science and artificial intelligence, Ars Electronica Solutions makes the emotional processes that shape our vacation desires visible. Using generative AI and the creative use of electroencephalography (EEG) technology, Austria is not shown here, but felt.

Visitors can discover their own vacation impulses in a surprising way and gain new perspectives on longing, decision and transformation. The installation makes it possible to find out which vacation destination in Austria best suits their conscious and subconscious desires.
