"Tschugger" mobilizes against the halving initiative

In the final stages of the campaign leading up to the vote on the SRG Halving Initiative, David «Bax» Constantin has stepped in. The lead actor of the cult series «Tschugger» is campaigning in advertisements and on social media in Valais German for a “No” vote on the initiative. The Alliance for Media Diversity emphasizes the importance of the SRG as a producer of cultural content.

In the final phase of the referendum campaign on the SRG halving initiative, David "Bax" Constantin is speaking out. In advertisements in the "Walliser Boten" and on social media, the leading actor of the cult series "Tschugger" talks about what he appreciates about SRG programs. He does this in "Wallisertiitsch", which makes the readership north of the Lötschberg ponder.

This is a good thing, because it is worth thinking about this proposal. The Pro Media Diversity Alliance, which has been campaigning against the halving initiative for four years, emphasizes that SRG is a major cultural producer and supports films such as "Zwingli" or "Heldin" and series such as "Frieden", "The Deal" or "Tschugger".

Stories from and about Switzerland

Such domestic productions are important because they tell stories from Switzerland and about Switzerland - and thus create discussion, friction and social cohesion. Our country needs this more than ever, writes the Pro Media Diversity Alliance.

The four seasons of "Tschugger" can still be found on Play Suisse, the Swiss streaming platform, along with around 3,000 other films, series and documentaries - without an additional subscription.
