Padelcity founds a subsidiary, Padelcity Entertainment, with the aim of establishing leading entertainment formats in padel sports. Digital entertainment with pronounced community and interaction elements will play a central role - on an international level. The centerpiece is the One Point Challenge, which has already been held twice at the Padelcity facility in Dortmund in 2025 and will be developed into a One Point Challenge Tour (OPCT) this year.

The focus is on maximizing the reach of these events, especially via digital entertainment platforms such as YouTube and Twitch as well as social content on Instagram and TikTok. The founders and managing directors of Padelcity Entertainment are Jonathan Sierck (Padelcity co-founder & CEO) and Johann Griebl, who previously managed the ProSiebenSat.1 creator network Studio71 and the fitness company Gymondo, among others.

Joshua Kimmich as Co-Founder

Co-founder is the professional footballer Joshua Kimmich, who is himself an enthusiastic padel player and will play a central role in the OPCT as an ambassador. In addition, Marta Ortega Gallego, one of the most successful padel players in the world and currently No. 8 in the women's world rankings (FIP ranking), will accompany the OPCT as an ambassador and global padel expert. Also on board and joining OPCT events in the future is the world-renowned content creator and social media superstar Younes Zarou, who is an enthusiastic padel player himself and already took part in last year's "Promi Padel WM", which was shown live on ProSieben and Joyn. Zarou inspires over 100 million followers on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube with his creative videos and visual effects.

One point decides

The special thing about the OPCT: instead of long matches, a single rally decides who goes through to the next round. Losers are eliminated directly - there is no second chance. A rule that makes the tournament particularly exciting for both participants and spectators. Anyone who wants to try their luck can take part.

Up to eight OPCT events are planned in 2026, in which teams from all over Europe can compete against each other in tournaments in different countries and win prize money of 10,000 euros each - including amateur athletes of all levels as well as professional players, celebrities and creators.

Strategic partnership with Padelta from Switzerland

Strategic partnerships have already been concluded with Padelta from Switzerland and Peakz from the Netherlands, both of which are among the leading padel sports providers in their home markets and are known for their local community events.

Peakz, Padelta and Mallorca Country Club hold the local brand and marketing rights for the OPCT as license partners in their respective countries. Talks are underway with other partners from other countries. Advertisers have various opportunities to become involved with the OPCT as brand, media or license partners.
