Investigative journalism: Tamedia finances one-year support program
Tamedia is once again offering a grant program for investigative journalism. Through this program, the media company offers young journalists the opportunity to learn or further develop their investigative skills. The winner will have the opportunity to complete a one-year, paid internship at Tamedia’s investigative desk in Zurich.

Valeria Mazzeo, winner of the 2025 award: "The traineeship at the research desk was enormously instructive for me: from court cases to medical grievances to social debates - I was able to familiarize myself with topics in a variety of ways and learn a wide range of research methods. These experiences have strengthened my journalistic skills and my understanding of qualitative journalism in the long term."
When applying, candidates submit their previously published reports or research work. The selection is made by the research desk and the editors-in-chief of the Tamedia editorial team.
