Hybrid productions are seen as a possible answer to the question of what the future of film production could look like. They combine the best of real and AI-generated footage. "The production shows how the strengths of AI can be used without sacrificing real human emotions," says Lars Würgler, director of the film.

The store and the protagonist were filmed on location, while the outdoor shots were created using artificial intelligence. "Our aim was to build a seamless bridge between the real and fictional worlds," says Michael Ryser, co-founder and AI supervisor at BeyondDreams. The decisive factor here was the combination of classic production workflows and new processes.

The production company Lymbus was responsible for the overall production, on-site recordings and post-production. The AI shots were created by BeyondDreams, which was responsible for the entire AI production.

It is remarkable that the project was created in just six weeks. Another advantage of the hybrid production: the spot can be adapted seasonally, as the AI locations can also be adapted later.
