White Risk is Master of Swiss Apps 2025

This year's edition of the Best of Swiss Apps Award was a complete success with 136 project submissions and impressively showcased the innovative strength of the Swiss app landscape. The 60-member jury awarded a total of 50 trophies: ten gold, 16 silver and 24 bronze awards.

White Risk convinces all along the line

The winning project, White Risk, was commissioned and implemented by the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF. The app not only scored points with the expert jury, but also won the votes of the Netzticker readers and the audience at the Award Night. White Risk thus secured the coveted title of "Master of Swiss Apps 2025".

In addition to the overall victory, White Risk collected further awards: Gold in the Functionality category, Silver in the Innovation, User Experience and Technology categories. All award-winning projects are listed in the Hall of Fame to find.

The following apps were able to assert themselves as benchmarks for excellent Swiss app development: Urban Connect 2025 (Business Impact), 20 Minuten - Nachrichten (Customer Experience), Post-App Preview (Design), VirtuAllalin (Extended Interaction), White Risk (Functionality), Eiren AI: Meditation & To Do (Innovation), Post-App Preview (Technology), Nordic-Challenge "Alle laufen lang" (User Engagement), Post-App Preview (User Experience) and Caritas Markt (Accessibility).

Young talent honored

This year's "hack an app" award, presented by Ti&m, goes to Moritz Finsterwald for his impressive music app. It came out on top against numerous competitors aged between eleven and 14.

The next Best of Swiss Apps Award Night will take place on November 11, 2026 at the Zurich Kongresshaus.
