Mainland researches creative intelligence: AI cat Claire evaluates ideas
At the Festland Lab session «Creative Intelligence II,» the topic of AI and creativity was explored from three perspectives. The highlight: Claire, an AI-powered cat that evaluates ideas based on their quality. The session provided fascinating insights into the interplay between human and artificial creativity.

Creativity meets artificial intelligence
Can AI be creative? This question was the focus of the packed Festland Lab session "Creative Intelligence II". Three experts examined the topic from different angles and presented surprising insights into the interplay between human and machine creativity.
Art versus AI: the limits of technology
Julia Kubik, a multi-talented artist, impressively demonstrated that even the most modern AI systems cannot replace the originality of human art. Her conclusion: creativity requires training - artists also train their skills through inspiration, cooperation and everyday observations. The limits of AI are particularly evident when it comes to humor: no machine can match Kubik's absurd, often black humor.

From the idea to the AI-supported prototype
Benedikt Skalsky, Head of Innovation at Festland, showed how AI tools can massively accelerate the path from product idea to prototype. Using the example of the "EcoSnap" app, which recognizes energy-saving potential in photos, it became clear: AI is a turbo for implementation, but does not replace human expertise in brainstorming and the final design.

Claire: The AI cat as an idea tester
The crowning finale was the presentation of Claire by Elena and Vanessa from the mainland team. This AI-supported cat analyzes ideas based on seven categories: Curiosity, Cleverness, Catchiness, Creativity, Courage, Cash and Continuity. With her critical perspective, Claire helps to sharpen and further develop ideas.
The innovative tool is now available at cat-the-bullshit.com and supports creative minds in evaluating and improving their ideas.
