Gianna Luzio leaves co-presidency of the Lia Rumantscha for the OFCOM directorate
Gianna Luzio, co-president of Lia Rumantscha, is stepping down from her position effective immediately. The reason is her appointment as the new director of the Federal Office of Communications (BAKOM). Urezza Famos will serve as sole president until the special election next year.

The Lia Rumantscha is facing a change in leadership: Gianna Luzio, former Co-President of the organization, has announced her immediate resignation. The reason for this step is her election as the new Director of the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM).
The Suprastanza (the Board of Directors) of the Lia Rumantscha has reacted to this development and expressed its full support for the remaining Co-President Urezza Famos. Famos will lead the organization alone until the planned by-election next year.
In its press release, the Suprastanza congratulates Gianna Luzio on her new professional challenge and thanks her for her great commitment and her services to the Romansh language and culture during her term of office.
The Lia Rumantscha, as the central organization for the preservation and promotion of the Romansh language and culture, will manage the transition process under the leadership of Urezza Famos.
