With EHC Arosa's promotion to the Swiss League, the traditional club faced a new challenge: The professional broadcasting of all home games. The club is relying on the expertise of nine students from the Multimedia Production bachelor's degree program at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden. The young team is responsible for the entire production - from directing and camera work to sound engineering, editing and commentary.

"Keeping calm with the adrenaline of a live game is one of the challenges we face," explains Aurora Schulte from Uster (ZH), one of the students involved. "This project gives us the unique opportunity to put what we've learned directly into practice."

The broadcasts of the second-highest Swiss ice hockey league will be shown live on Swiss League TV by Sky. Christian Modes, CEO of EHC Arosa, is delighted: "The performance of the FHGR students in the two home games so far has been top - just like that of our field hockey players." The collaboration is a pleasure and could even help to increase the national fan base with students from all parts of the country.

In addition to the 25 regular home games plus any play-off games, the team will also commentate live on the club's away games in western Switzerland. A continuation of the collaboration is planned for the coming seasons, provided EHC Arosa remains in the Swiss League. The multimedia production team also works together with Somedia and prepares match summaries for their various channels.

The joint-degree Bachelor's program in Multimedia Production is offered jointly by the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons and the Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH, Department of Bern University of the Arts (HKB). Graduates have interface skills in the field of multimedia design and production.
