Swiss online research: WEMF takes over operational management
Online Data Switzerland and WEMF for Advertising Media Research are jointly leading Swiss online research into the future. Effective immediately, WEMF will assume operational management of the research activities.

Reliable and comparable data
The WEMF guarantees the reliability and quality of Swiss online research through clearly defined guidelines. In this way, it ensures uniform and comparable traffic measurement and creates a fair framework for participants in the Swiss online market.
"We will continue to be in close contact with WEMF as a strategic partner and work together to drive forward the ongoing development of research activities," says Florian Wanner, Head of Regional Electronic Media + watson at CH Media, on behalf of Online Data Switzerland. A possible next step is to enrich the current traffic data with reach and structural data.
WEMF is also the new central point of contact for participating publishers. It also coordinates data collection with Kantar Switzerland (Kantar Media), which remains responsible for technical traffic measurement. WEMF remains responsible for processing and publishing the measurement data on the "NEXT>LEVEL" portal.
Open to the entire Swiss market
"The standardized traffic measurement for websites and apps creates orientation in the market and trust in the offers of the participating publishers. We are very pleased to further develop Swiss online research together with Online Data Switzerland and to ensure the provision of neutral online data," says Marc Sele, Deputy CEO and Executive Director of Data and Tools at WEMF for Advertising Media Research.
Online Data Switzerland took over traffic measurement for websites and apps from Mediapulse at the beginning of 2025 and continues to do so without data breakage. The majority of Swiss publishers are involved in online research. Online Data Switzerland is open to the participation of other media companies so that the entire Swiss market can be represented as far as possible.
