Guy Luginbühl leaves SRF
Guy Luginbühl, Head of the Finance & Services Department and a long-standing member of SRF’s Executive Board, has decided to leave the company at the end of March 2026. His succession will be finalized in the coming months.
Guy Luginbühl, who will soon be 62, has worked for the company for 23 years and has also been a member of the Executive Board since the beginning - from 2002 to 2010 as Head of Finance at Schweizer Radio DRS and from 2011 as Head of Finance & Services at SRF. During this time, Guy Luginbühl was jointly responsible for media convergence within SRG Deutschschweiz and real estate development at SRF, among other things, and played a key role in shaping both the "SRF 2024" strategy and the "SRF 4.0" transformation project. Before joining SRF, the business administration graduate held various management positions in the financial sector, including at SBB and Switzerland Tourism.
SRF Director Nathalie Wappler: "We very much regret the departure of Guy Luginbühl - with his experience and commitment, he has played a key role in shaping the financial organization. Especially in recent years, during which the company has implemented numerous change processes and savings programs, Guy Luginbühl has played a central role within the Executive Board. His focus was not only on serious financial planning. For him, the people behind the figures always came first. In addition, Guy Luginbühl has always been fully committed to the public media service and a diverse SRF program. I would like to thank him from the bottom of my heart for his great commitment over all these years and wish him all the best for the future."
Guy Luginbühl: "It has been rewarding for me to work with a wide variety of colleagues over the years. The role of Head of Finance was not always easy, especially when there were painful cost-cutting measures. I am all the more grateful that I have nevertheless met with a great deal of respect in this role. Of course, a balanced company result was always key for me - but I really enjoyed the programming highlights and digital offerings that we have created together in recent years. Now I'm looking forward to being able to devote more time to my passion for music and especially my record store in Zurich."
Guy Luginbühl will continue to work for SRF and SRG until March 31, 2026. His successor will be appointed by the Head of Finance at SRG SSR in the coming months.
