Bandara for Saas-Fee: virtual reality at 3500 meters above sea level
The VR experience «VirtuAllalin,» developed by Bandara, combines the history of the Saas Valley with state-of-the-art technology on the Mittelallalin above Saas-Fee. Visitors embark on an interactive journey with a mountain chough across the eternal ice.

At an altitude of 3,500 meters, on the Mittelallalin above Saas-Fee, nine virtual reality goggles are ready and waiting. Put one on and embark on a thrilling journey between reality and fiction: following in the footsteps of tourism pioneer Johann Josef Imseng, you fly over the eternal ice with a mountain chough, solve exciting puzzles and finally discover a secret place in the heart of the glacier.
Guests not only experience an immersive adventure with gamification elements - they also gain exciting insights into the nature of the glacier and the history of the region. In this way, knowledge transfer is cleverly combined with interactive storytelling and brand staging.
For the realization, Bandara combined elements built in 3D with filmed 360° shots. As a result, guests on the Mittelallalin can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding 18 four-thousand-metre peaks even in bad weather.

Since its launch at the end of June, almost 4000 guests have already used VirtuAllalin. At the end of the 15-minute experience, they can ask the wise glacier questions. Thanks to the AI connection, it has a suitable answer for every visitor. Over 7800 questions have already been asked - from simple ones such as "How old are you?" to humorous ones such as "Is there a McDonald's here?" and personal ones such as "How do I make my family happy?".
