Affordable housing is becoming increasingly scarce in Switzerland - especially for vulnerable groups such as families on a tight budget, single parents, older people and refugees. The Salvation Army is responding to this development with the "Housing is a necessity" campaign and the new online knowledge platform "Finding Home".

The digital platform bundles practical help and knowledge about finding accommodation. It supports those affected with specific tips and at the same time relieves the burden on local advice centers. The focus is on prevention and early help.

The Salvation Army has decades of experience in supporting people in housing need. Successful projects such as the housing advice service in Bern or the Housing First model in Basel show that individual support and innovative approaches can create sustainable solutions.

The Salvation Army's vision of "Lives transformed" is reflected in the current campaign: people should be empowered to shape their lives with dignity and responsibility. A home of their own is a central foundation for this.
