Xeit designs new website for Swiss farmers
Swiss farmers now have a new, redesigned website. The Zurich-based agency Xeit was responsible for the concept, design, and implementation.
In March, the revised online presence of "Schweizer Bäuerinnen & Bauern" was launched at Schweizerbauern.ch went live. The Zurich agency Xeit designed and implemented the web project on behalf of the Swiss Farmers' Union. The aim was to bring Swiss agriculture to life digitally and to present information about farms, products and origins in a contemporary and user-friendly way.
The centerpiece of the new website is an interactive 360-degree panorama that provides virtual insights into everyday life on a farm. Other central functions such as the revised farm search or the seasonal calendar linked to farm stores make it easier for consumers to access regional and seasonal products. Moving image formats and an integrated question module have also been expanded.
The navigation and structure of the website were rethought and geared towards different target groups. Technically, the website is based on WordPress with a block editor, which enables flexible content maintenance and the rapid creation of new pages. According to the agency, the implementation was carried out in four languages and within a tight time frame.
With the relaunch, the association aims to strengthen the visibility and digital presence of Swiss agriculture. The new website combines information, interaction and emotionality and thus forms the basis for further digital steps, according to Xeit. Another joint project is already in the works.
