Melanie Winiger and Annina Frey host the Swiss Music Awards again
This will be the second time that Melanie Winiger and music producer Annina Frey have co-hosted the Swiss Music Awards. The Swiss music awards ceremony will take place on May 28, 2025, at the Hallenstadion in Zurich and will be broadcast live on television.
With the Swiss Music Awards 2025 TV entertainer Melanie Winiger will present the coveted concrete blocks for the tenth time. Since the Ticino native was crowned the youngest Miss Switzerland at the age of 17, she has made a name for herself nationally and internationally as a successful presenter. She has also appeared as an actress in numerous films and TV productions. But music has always had a special place in her heart.
Co-host and music producer Annina Frey will also be back in 2025. The former "Glanz & Gloria" presenter will be taking to the SMA stage for the third time. Under her real name, she is also a successful DJ and producer in the electronic music scene. She sets creative accents with her own label "Ascending" and hosts various music events. Together with Melanie Winiger, Frey will use her energy to create the perfect stage dynamic at the Swiss Music Awards.
There are a total of 14 awards to be won in the 18th edition of the Swiss Music Awards. The categories "Best Female Act" and "Best Male Act" will be adapted to the international standard and become the category "Best Solo Act National". The other nine national and four international categories remain unchanged. The two newer awards, "Most Rising Artist Social Media" and "Best Streaming Act", will also continue to be presented.
