Climatepartner with new campaign for companies

With its new campaign, #thewholejob, Climatepartner aims to draw attention to the importance of holistic corporate climate protection strategies—and to promote transparency.

What actually happens until companies reach their Net Zero target? Companies that only focus on the long-term reduction of CO2-emissions often forget that quite a few emissions accumulate over the years on the way there. With a new Video To kick off a global digital campaign, ClimatePartner is therefore explicitly targeting companies under the motto #thewholejob in order to draw attention to precisely this. The message: No half measures - climate protection must not stop at legally prescribed emission reductions. Instead, emissions outside the company's own value chain must also be taken into account on the road to net zero. Financial contributions to climate protection projects should therefore be an integral part of the corporate strategy.

Voluntary climate protection measures urgently needed

With this recommendation, Climatepartner is following on from discussions at this year's UN Climate Change Conference COP29 in Baku. The conclusion for the economy after the weeks of negotiations there: without the massive use of private capital and thus the voluntary climate protection commitment of companies in what is known as the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM), the Achieving the global climate financing targets is not possible.
