Artificial intelligence meets quiz show: in the SRF program "1 against 100", AI takes on the role of the contestants for the first time. Instead of human players, AI avatars with programmed personalities will compete, developed under the direction of AI expert Patrick Karpiczenko. Their task: to hold their own against 100 human players.

The program not only shows how well artificial intelligence performs compared to human participants, but also highlights the challenges and surprises that arise in the process. Viewers also gain insights into the development of avatars and the technologies that control them.

The quiz show is part of the SRF theme week from November 17 to 24, 2024, which focuses on the transformative power of artificial intelligence. The central question: "What can AI really do and how is it being used in Switzerland?" A multi-layered look at a technology that is changing our world as fundamentally as the internet or the smartphone.
