Schroten for Swiss Life: The long farewell of Peach Weber
The Zurich-based storytelling agency brings the Swiss Life study «Long Live Work?» to life with two portraits.
Peach Weber is 71 and continues to do what he has been doing for almost fifty years: entertaining audiences with his "Gäx". He has reduced the number of appearances slightly and certain things get on his nerves, but "it's just too much fun" to stop. In a video interview for Swiss Life Switzerland's social media channels and blog, the Aargau comedian talks about his attitude to work and when the time came for him to stop.
The interview and video formats accompany the pension study "Long live work?", which recently presented new figures and trends on employment in retirement age. The example of the comedian underlines one of the central statements, as study director Andreas Christen explains: "70% of respondents say that they continue to work because they enjoy their job." According to the study, around 25 percent of Swiss people continue to work beyond retirement age, with only a good third of them focusing on financial aspects.
These also play a subordinate role for Ingeborg Spillmann: she is the second protagonist with whom Schroten, together with Mattogrosso Films, emotionally enriches the Swiss Life study. At the age of 55, the 60-year-old has ensured that her life will certainly not be boring beyond the normal retirement age: The communications consultant started her own business in 2019 and at the same time began training as a streetcar pilot with VBZ. She has always been fascinated by the rails - and: "The satisfaction of having managed to drive a streetcar was unique."
The two stories are part of an extensive content campaign around the Swiss Life study and have been played out on Swiss Life's digital channels since summer 2024.
