35th One Show Award: One Club announces Pencil winners
The 35th annual One Show Awards ceremony took place on Thursday evening. The One Club announced the winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencil.
The ceremony took place at Lincoln Center's Alice Tull Hall. The best achievements of the year in print, television, radio, outdoor, innovative marketing, integrated branding, and branded content were honored. In addition, a flashback of the last 35 years of advertising was given.
The Green Pencil Award for exceptional work that is environmentally friendly was presented to Berghs School of Communication and Stockholm University in Sweden. The students were honored for their concept for Million Trees NYC, a program with the goal of planting one million trees in the five boroughs of New York City and nurturing them over the next decade. This was the first time that a student's work has been awarded the Green Pencil.
The "Best of Show" award was presented to London-based BBH for the Johnnie Walker short film "The Man Who Walked Around the World". Proctor & Gamble was named "Client of the Year" for pushing creative boundaries and risk-taking with work such as "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like" and "Zack Johnson" for Tampax.

- TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris/Johannesburg: 2 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze
- Ogilvy & Mather/Singapore: 1 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze
- Wieden+Kennedy/Portland: 2 Gold, 2 Silver
- BBDO/New York: 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
- Ogilvy/Frankfurt: 1 gold, 2 silver
