Printing plant in Zofingen AG with 20 jobs to close
The SharePrint printing plant in Zofingen, Aargau, is facing closure. ZT Medien and SWS Medien, based in the canton of Lucerne, are selling their printing business to the Merkur Group of Langenthal, Bern, as they announced on Monday. In connection with this, the closure of the printing plant—which employs 20 people—is being considered.

The SharePrint printing center in Zofingen is jointly owned by SWS Medien in Willisau/Sursee LU and Zofinger ZT Medien, according to a statement. The two partners wanted to give up the printing business for economic reasons.
This will lead to redundancies for five to six people for the time being. The print shop is located in Zofingen, at the headquarters of ZT Medien AG, which operates the Zofinger Tagblatt publishes.
The printing business will be transferred to the Merkur Group in Langenthal on January 1, 2025, according to the statement. The plans to close SharePrint have resulted in a consultation process. The final decision by the Board of Directors will be made on August 28, 2024. 20 employees would be affected. (SDA/swi)
