Last but not least: Too much internet can be deadly

In China, the number of young people addicted to the Internet is increasing all the time: according to state media, around 2.6 million Chinese teenagers are currently addicted to the Internet. This corresponds to around 13 percent of users in the under-18 age group. A 26-year-old Chinese man has now lost his life due to excessive internet use. The overweight man collapsed after playing an online game for several days at the end of the Chinese New Year vacations - after playing on the Internet for practically seven days without interruption. The internet addict lived with his family in the city of Jinzhou in the north-east of the country. Life there is considered particularly boring during the vacations, so many residents take refuge in the Internet.
