Claudia Aebersold appointed new Head of Communications at the SNB
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) has appointed Claudia Aebersold—currently Head of the SNB Media Office and Deputy Head of Communications—as the new Head of Communications, effective June 1, 2024. She will succeed Susanne Mühlemann, who will leave the bank at the end of May after more than seven years as Head of Communications.
Claudia Aebersold has a doctorate in economics and has been head of the SNB media office since 2019, according to a press release issued on Monday. She previously worked for eleven years as economics editor at the New Zurich Newspaper for seven years as a correspondent from Frankfurt.
Susanne Mühlemann, meanwhile, has "significantly developed the SNB's communications in recent years and provided substantial support to the bank's management in this area", the statement continues. She will be taking up a new challenge. (SDA/swi)
