Bern Holiday Fair: Successful start to the 2024 travel year
This year's Bern Vacation Fair, hosted by Bernexpo, has come to a successful close—the focus was on Switzerland as a vacation destination, among other things, as well as cruises.

For four days, the Bernexpo exhibition halls were teeming with travel experts and vacation enthusiasts. After the 39th edition of the trade fair, 23,000 visitors and an increase in the number of exhibitors compared to the previous year to over 170 were confirmed. In retrospect, it can be said that the result and overall impression are positive - evidenced by the high quality of visitors and the increase in exhibitors.
Vacation destination Switzerland
From short trips to world tours - the vacation fair once again presented a wide range of offers for young and old this year. The mix of regional providers - this year with a focus on Switzerland as a vacation destination, among other things - and major international players offered visitors a source of inspiration. The cruise industry, which has experienced great growth in recent years, and numerous coach companies were also represented, offering something for both small and large budgets.
The high number of exhibitors is primarily due to the high sales potential of the trade fair. The seven cinemas, in which around 300 presentations on various countries and types of travel were held over the four days of the fair, were also well filled. The next Ferienmesse Bern will take place from January 23 to 26, 2025.
