Bandara sends visitors on virtual journey through London exhibition

For the retrospective exhibition of the architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron in London, Bandara developed an augmented reality app that allows visitors to experience the exhibits in a new and impressive way.

Since July 14, an exhibition at London's Royal Academy has been dedicated to the work of Basel architects Herzog & de Meuron. Thanks to an augmented reality app, the exhibition also had a digital and interactive component: More than 10,000 visitors installed the app on their smartphones and thus experienced Herzog & de Meuron's architecture in a novel way - for example, with 360° images, with 3D models of buildings such as the Elbphilharmonie, or with a walk-through 1:1 model of a room of the new Children's Hospital Zurich, through which visitors could walk with the help of augmented reality and thus experience it for themselves.

For the development of the application, Herzog & de Meuron collaborated for the second time with the Zurich AR/VR agency Bandara.
