Samuel Wille joins the management of Unicef Switzerland and Liechtenstein by taking over the management of the strategically important Partnerships & Philanthropy division. The 45-year-old from Winterthur brings with him 20 years of experience in the acquisition and management of strategic partnerships and most recently worked as Co-Head of Sustainable Switzerland, the sustainability initiative of the NZZ company. Prior to that, stages of his career took him to Switzerland Tourism, where he was Head of Strategic Partnerships, and to WWF Switzerland as Head of Corporate Relations.

Samuel Wille studied economics at the HSG, majoring in marketing, and also holds an Executive MBA from the IMD in Lausanne. He is married and the father of two sons.

"Strategic partnerships and philanthropy are gaining massively in importance - closing ranks with the private sector is crucial for the sustainable implementation of children's rights. Institutional partners in particular bring not only financial resources to the partnership, but also expertise, reach and networking," says Bettina Junker, Executive Director of Unicef Switzerland and Liechtenstein. "With his many years of expertise and in-depth knowledge of the sector, as well as his proven leadership skills, Samuel Wille is the ideal choice for this key position."

Wille will succeed Asa Sjöberg, who will remain with the company as Senior Advisor, at the beginning of 2024.
