Telebasel launches new celebrity quiz show with Dani von Wattenwyl
In early September 2023, Telebasel will launch the new entertainment show «Schabernitwohr.» Every Friday evening, Dani von Wattenwyl will welcome two celebrities to the studio and coax details out of them about their personal lives.
In the show, two celebrities from Basel and the region will compete against each other. The trick is that they don't find out who is sitting across from them until the show begins. The task in each case is to guess which claims and stories from the other person's private life are true or fictitious.
As the name of the show suggests, stories are to come to light that one would not have expected. "We get our guests out of their comfort zone, get to the heart of the matter and elicit confessions from them, which we also address in the show," says Dani von Wattenwyl, host of the show, with a wink.
"Telebasel comprehensively renewed its programming at the end of May," says Editor-in-Chief Philippe Chappuis. "Alongside the revamped news program Punkt6 and the new formats in the areas of talk, culture, business or animals, a program with a playful character is exactly what our program was still missing."
"Schabernitwohr" will be broadcast weekly on Friday evenings, at half past six in the evening. Who the first two guests are, the station did not want to reveal yet.
