45 projects in the running for the Xaver Award

On September 5, the Xaver Award will honor the best projects in the live comedy industry for the 21st time. This year, 45 entries are competing for the title, and one person will receive the Lifetime Achievement Xaver Award.

XaverIn about a month, the livecom industry will be looking ahead to the 21st annual Xaver Awards. The event, organized by the Expo Event Swiss Livecom Association, received 45 entries in the seven categories Best Corporate Event, Best Consumer/POS Event, Best Efficiency Project, Best Expo Project, Best Brandworlds & Temporary Installations and Exhibitions, Best Public Event and Best Supplier Services by the closing date. In addition, there is the Public Xaver, which is determined by online voting in the run-up to the awards ceremony, and the Lifetime Achievement Xaver Award.

Comparing this year's and last year's figures with those before the pandemic, a substantial increase in the number of project submissions is evident. As the number of projects increases, so does the diversity of those same projects: Innovative and progressive submissions, for example from the areas of gastronomy, tourism, luxury goods and sports, are part of this year's repertoire - commissioned by well-known national and international brands and institutions.

Lifetime Achievement Xaver Awards

Another centerpiece of the event is the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Xaver Award. This year, it goes to a person who has organized events in Switzerland over decades with enormous international impact.

The six-member jury around President Dany Waldner (founder, Waldner Partner) met again this year on two jury days, studied the submitted projects in detail - and determined the winners. The metals bronze, silver and gold are available for each category. During a 15-minute presentation, the project submitters presented their achievements over the two days, which were then judged on the basis of the criteria of creativity, realization and achievement of objectives. In addition to Waldner, the jury was made up of Norbert Egli (EKZ), Maximilian Souchay (Live Lab AG), Andrea Meier (Swisscom), Mauro Testerini (Aroma) and Nadine Imboden (Entertainment in Motion).
