Suissetec Bern is looking for professionals with a sense of humor

Suissetec Bern is launching a new poster campaign: Through four posters, the Building Services Association of the Canton of Bern humorously highlights the importance of its skilled trades and planning professions in our daily lives.

Without a heating engineer we would be sitting in freezing cold water, without a plumber the rainwater would be flowing right into our living room, without a ventilation engineer the comfort ventilation would be blowing around our ears like a hurricane - without the specialists in the field of building services engineering our lives would be considerably less pleasant. This is the message of a new campaign by suissetec Bern with four humorous subjects and suitable
berndeutsche slogans visible. The message is clear: The building technicians ensure that we feel completely at home and can enjoy maximum comfort.

"Make an apprenticeship out of..." is the slogan on all the posters for the various occupational groups. After all, not all apprenticeship positions can always be filled in the building technology sector either. At the same time, this sector is extremely important for achieving climate targets: The building sector accounts for 26 percent of Switzerland's total greenhouse gas emissions (source: FOEN).

For a better image of the industry

To ensure that these specialists are available, the corresponding vocational apprenticeships must become better known. At the same time, the campaign aims to improve the image of the industry. Specifically, the campaign is looking for sanitary fitters, plumbers, ventilation system installers, heating system installers, building services planners and building services trainees.

The umbrella association Suissetec has already been engaged in communication activities at national level for several years.
the cantonal association is now reaching its target groups even more personally and effectively. Suissetec Bern wants to reach young people between the ages of 12 and 16, as well as their parents and friends, teachers and career counselors. Flyers will accompany the posters, and there will also be an online campaign with banner advertising. The Bernese branding agency Artos is responsible for the concept.
