In the Manor Christmas commercial, competition is the order of the day

This year's Manor Christmas commercial features a young couple trying to outdo each other in search of the perfect gift. The spot, conceived by BETC Paris, will run online and on TV from Thursday.

Manor Christmas commercial Manor shows Peter and Anna celebrating Christmas together. Anna decides to play it safe for their first Christmas together and gives her sweetheart a little stuffed cat. He had the same idea, but gives her a real cat. Both look at the gifts and it becomes clear: the annual race for the more original gift is on.

The two travel far and wide to find extraordinary gifts like a giant gold nugget, the painting of the Mona Lisa or a star. But in the end, Anna wins with a lovingly and personally selected gift from Manor. Because as the Christmas commercial would like to stage: Because the best gifts are available at Manor. This year's motto in Switzerland's largest department store is "Cosmic Christmas" - gift ideas are presented according to the signs of the zodiac.

The plot of the TV commercial was developed by Manor in cooperation with the BETC agency. It was realized by specialists from various film fields.

"Christmas is the right time to bring the brand more into the conversation, especially for a department store like Manor," said Alexandre Henry, creative director at BETC.

The TV spot will be broadcast throughout Switzerland from Thursday. A 55-second version is running on YouTube, while the spot can be seen on TV in 10- and 30-second lengths.
