Ex-Ringier Paris correspondent Annemarie Mahler dead

For many years, she headed the Ringier office in Paris; Annemarie Mahler has now passed away at the age of 85.

Ringier announced that Annemarie Mahler, longtime correspondent and head of the Ringier office in Paris, died on Friday morning, June 17, 2022, at the Bethesda home in Felben-Wellhausen near Frauenfeld at the age of 85 after a short serious illness.

In the course of the last 40 years, Mahler has also worked in between for Blick and Schweizer Illustrierte. In 2011, the French Ministry of Culture awarded her a knighthood and the title of "Chevalier del l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres" (Order of Arts and Letters) for her work as a correspondent.

Annemarie Mahler was still active as a writer well into old age: among other things, she reported for the Swiss fashion trade association SMGV in the summer of 2021 from the Fashion Week Paris.
