AHA and Art.I.Schock give Ukrainian refugees a stage

Artists from Ukraine who fled the war tell their story of flight on stage: at a charity event in Aarau, they present a specially created program of dance, music, painting and artistry. The campaign was conceived and implemented by the Zurich agency Art.I.Schock.

AHA und Art.I.SchockAmong the 50,000 or so Ukrainian war refugees in Switzerland are many artists. Around 25 of them from the fields of dance, artistry, music or painting have developed a stage program from their stories of flight, which they will present from Thursday in the newly opened Aarau Aeschbachhalle (AHA). "L'VIV-VIVID (Lemberg - alive)" does without text due to the language barrier.

The theatrical-circus, musical-dance show is intended to give the performers the opportunity to bring a piece of Ukrainian culture to Switzerland and tell their story. In addition to a contribution to the production, half of the proceeds from ticketing and sponsorship will go to the performers as a livelihood in Switzerland and half to the Rizoma circus school in Berdychiv as emergency aid and support after the war.

AHA and the Ukrainian artists were advised and supported by the Zurich agency Art.I.Schock. In addition to a motif for the posters in the Aarau area, the agency developed a social media campaign: under the hashtag #WeHandstandForUkraine, the community was asked to share a handstand photo with the event link to support the charity event.
